Browser wars: CERT says ditch IE

Following on the heels of watching the WORST…MOVIE…EVAR (at the behest of Geoff, because “it’s so bad it’s a classic” or something like that), I rolled into work this morning and checked the news to discover that yet another IE/ISS vulnerability has been discovered. Wow! Maybe the movie was right after all! It seems that 1337 h4×0rs can now infect IIS 5.0 servers, allowing them to log keystrokes made by visitors to the website in question–if the user is browsing with Internet Explorer. Maybe it’s not capsizing oil tankers and causing “an ecological disaster!” (my favorite line from the movie), but it ought to be pretty downright disturbing for MSIE users nonetheless.

Even US CERT has made a statement to the effect that you should stop using MSIE because it’s garbage.
