Fowl obsessions

I’ve long held that Benjamin Franklin was a turkey (figuratively speaking), simply by virtue of his moral and religious beliefs. However, I now have more concrete evidence that Mr. Franklin was, indeed, a turkey. According to my company newsletter, which is delivered to my email inbox each month in the form of a one-page 250-300KB PDF full of clipart and corny jokes, Benjamin Franklin lobbied hard against the bald eagle as the national bird. His alternative? The turkey.

Coincidence? I think not.
