Bourne Supremacy soundtrack

My siblings-in-law gave me the soundtrack to The Bourne Supremacy for Christmas. I’ve been listening to it exclusively today at work. It’s pretty decent as far as coding music goes. As usual, the songs that I like are about three times too short, and the songs that are repetitive and lengthy are the ones I don’t like so much. (They always do that!) However, there is one critical and irritating flaw on the soundtrack. The final song, “Extreme Ways” (which plays during the credits and is by Richard Hall instead of John Powell, who composed the rest of the music) is in a different key than the next-to-last song that builds up to it. A little transposition could have made the transition perfect…as it is, the song now sounds entirely incongruous with the rest of the soundtrack. I hadn’t noticed the dissonance in the movie; I’ll have to pay closer attention next time I watch it. If they transposed the song in the movie and not on the soundtrack, they might qualify for a golden turkey award.

Despite the shortcomings, it’s still very good coding music. I give it 4 syntax errors out of 5.
