I live, but not by much. Every waking hour not spent at work is now spent working on the house, preparing it for sale. The goal, of course, is to make the house appear twice as attractive as my two neighbors’ houses, which are also on the market. Thus, over the course of the past several months, I have replaced the roof, painted the exterior, painted not-insignificant portions of the interior, installed new kitchen cabinets and countertop, painted the deck, replaced light fixtures, and mowed the lawn. (The last doubtless the most trying.) I am now weary. All this work had jolly well better pay off, but I suppose I’ll know more after our good realtor visits us this evening to gather info for a current market analysis.
So if you or anyone you know wants to buy a fabulous split-level house a few blocks from the murder capital of the regionin a great neighborhood, you know who to talk to.
