It’s blog-o-rific!

So I sauntered on over to homie-B’s blog after finding him in my site referrals (probably trying to up his PageRank through referral spam) to see what it was all about. Turns out it’s all about fairly entertaining things! He has, for instance, the most hilarious hamster poster I’ve ever seen. It is the sort of thing that would make Eric proud if he were here to see it instead of frolicking around all over Florida and Georgia for a few weeks. Therefore, given all this great content, it’s a cryin’ shame that the B insists on using the all-italics-all-the-time Slashdot mentality for his presentation. For those who both cannot stand such an abuse of emphasis and use a real browser, here’s a stylesheet that drops the italics and puts in a nicer-looking Georgia font face, too. Use the web developer toolbar extension, Options->Persist Styles, CSS->Add user style sheet.
Anyway, probably the most fatal problem with Ben’s blog is that through his link to this site, he is surreptitiously attempting to further Google’s wrong-headed idea that my name is spelled with no ‘c’. Since I’ll have none of that, I’ve added a link to Ben Casbun in my own sidebar.
I was, however, pleased to find that I still don’t fit into any predefined categories. While other folks might get tagged as “Very musical, but good nonetheless” or “Geoff Paulson’s blog. I expect good things”, his descriptive text for my blog reads: “Umm… Can’t really say”. Quite true. Who can, when you get right down to it?

I feel honored to be mentioned. Perhaps my site style will change when I feel more inclined to putter about my website. Right now, it resembles my desk - Technical, but not terribly organized.
If it’s any consolation Matt, Florida is miserable. The water’s tastes like it was previously filtered through somebody’s bladder (which I guess ultimately it probably was), we stayed in a “respectable” roach motel that rents rooms by the hour, and I got verbally accosted by a redneck retiree in rayon pants raving for his morning buffet. I am hoping Georgia is better. We are going to Andersonville today. You know, the civil war thing? C’mon Matt, I know you know…
Eric
Woly mokes! The famed Mr. Robinson himself! Live and on vacation! Impressive…most impressive. I imagine him quietly waking up in the wee hours of the morning, sneaking into the bathroom with his laptop, hopping onto the hotel network to get just a quick glimpse of my blog. But his quiet keystrokes give him away - his wife grumbles at him, “Honey, can’t you get away from the computer even on vacation?! It’s only Matt’s blog! It’ll be there when you get back!”
And…civil war? Which war was that?
I think he meant “The War for the Freedom to Keep Darkies on our Plantations”
We can call it the War for Freedom for short though. ^_^
