		<description>&lt;p&gt;So, a psychiatrist is a medical doctor who's studied the field of psychology.  They're the guys who make tons of money and can do things like prescribe drugs for schizophrenia, etc.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Psychologists are people with typically a PhD in psychology, and was probably what the person you dealt with was.  I think they tend to be the people who deal with those sorts of things, while psychiatrists focus more on people with more serious mental disorders (I think), since they are actual physicians.&lt;/p&gt;
