Hans is just hilarious.
He is sitting at the table with a bowl of pretzel sticks. Cheerfully, Mommy comes up and steals two with a grin. Hans is unaffected. However, Mommy was careless. One falls into Hans’ glass of apple juice. Mommy makes a face. Hans wonders if he should be concerned. With a smile Mommy pulls it out of his glass. “Yucky, Mommy?” “Yup.” Mommy, from 4 feet away, tosses it to the garbage can. Unfortunately, Mommy’s aim wasn’t so good and the pretzel falls to the laminate floor and breaks into several pieces. Hearing this miscarried action, Hans, with an appropriate wilt in his voice, plaintively asks, “Broken, Mommy? Oh, no. That’s sad.” He does not see Mommy’s amused grin. Repeating, “Oh, that’s sad” petulantly, Hans walks over to the garbage can and buries the pieces in their proper place.
