Mulled Plans
I did it. I took care of all the clothes. All our clothes are now washed and neatly put away where they belong, new homes being made where necessary. It took all day, I hadn’t finished when Matt got home (which wasn’t as late as I anticipated), dinner flopped, but it was all done and I watched part of my movie (it was extra long and I was extra tired).
Today the goal is to clean the bathrooms. Our master bath is the one room left with 1 1/2 miscellanous boxes unpacked and the counters might as well be boxes themselves. So I’ll find homes for things in there and actually have a clean, clear counter! It’ll be a cinch compared to Monday. :)
Then Thursday my goal is to get through the day without appearing unprepared and stupid or tired. To do that I might have to actually prepare.
Friday night is poker night, so cleaning out the fridge is mandatory. Along with that I will scrub my stove, perhaps push the on button on the self-cleaning oven, and bleach the white porcelain sink so that it will actually be white. Friday evening while the boys are asleep and the living areas are full of menfolk, I shall be here in the office, working out my new iterations of various planning sheets and methods. I want to take note of all items I generally keep in stock that are not necessarily part of a dinner-planning-grocery-list, so I can go through a list when making a grocery list and not stare into the pantry or fridge trying to divine what is missing (I have forgotten to purchase margarine twice now while at the grocery store — I now really have incentive to complete this long-thought-about project). I will probably post, and if my mind is up to it, I will post the sequel to “Is Homeschooling Best?” If my mind is not up to it, I will probably just post pictures. :)

Wow. That’s quite a bit of ambition. I hope you go forth and conquer! :-) I have a Winco list kind of like that – I have a general printed list and then I circle things as I notice that they’re out or nearly so. (or write them in, if they’re not on the list) I try to go back and update it/re-arrange it occasionally, but at least if I have it out, I always have somewhere to mark down “bread flour” if I only have a few cups left! My mom always did that, though I imagine her’s is more organized than mine. :-)
