dishwasher
One thing is certain, my next dishwasher will be able to clean off gunk real well (this one does, except for minute coffee grounds) and will be large enough to hold my crockpot dish and similar large dishes (my previous dishwasher could). Also, the ones where the controls are at the top are appealing, because Jaeger is at the “I love the dishwasher” phase, just like Hans at his age, and he pushes the buttons and will turn the dial to start it if I’m not conscious of his every movement. Do not assume that playing in the living room means you can turn your back or put something away.
He hears, sees, or thinks of the dishwasher, and he is there in a flash, standing up, reaching for buttons.
He knows the creak of the door. If you but begin to open the door, be aware of his every movement! As you turn to collect dirty dishes or open a cupboard door, suddenly he is there — and his hands are like magnets to the knives.
I have remembered why, a year and a half ago, my first step in unloading the dishwasher had become to remove the silverware holder and put it far back on the top of the counter.
