I am no longer afraid of leftover steak:

  1. Dice cooked leftover meat (I’ve only done it with beef).
  2. Dice enough potatoes for your family; boil them for 10 minutes, then drain the water.
  3. Dice as much onion and garlic as your husband can tolerate. Saute in a large frying pan with in a little oil.
  4. Add the potatoes and saute for 5 minutes or so; sprinkle with garlic salt and ground pepper.
  5. Add the leftover meat and continue to saute.
  6. Saute until the meat is heated through and the potatoes are cooked through.

It’s very filling and very yummy. You can serve it accompanied with a fried egg as a brunch item, too.
