Hash
I am no longer afraid of leftover steak:
- Dice cooked leftover meat (I’ve only done it with beef).
- Dice enough potatoes for your family; boil them for 10 minutes, then drain the water.
- Dice as much onion and garlic as your husband can tolerate. Saute in a large frying pan with in a little oil.
- Add the potatoes and saute for 5 minutes or so; sprinkle with garlic salt and ground pepper.
- Add the leftover meat and continue to saute.
- Saute until the meat is heated through and the potatoes are cooked through.
It’s very filling and very yummy. You can serve it accompanied with a fried egg as a brunch item, too.
