Sola Scriptura

Hans must understand this concept already. This morning, after reading our Proverb of the day and Psalm 1, Hans correctly answered the first 5 catachism questions, so I introduced #6:

Are there more gods than One?

Turns out this is phrased confusingly for a two-year-old. Since “One” comes last, he first kept answering in the affirmative. I then just had him practice the answer without the question: “No, there is only One God.” This became, “One God, No.” So, we went through the explanation and mini-lesson again, and then I changed the question, “Hans, are there lots of gods?” Immediately he said, “No! One God.” Yay! Ok, that hurdle tackled, we continued to practice with the revised question. The Bible was on the table between us, and Hans said: “Only One God. Hm. One God. Let’s see here,” as he takes the Bible and opens it, “Uh, I check One God, ok?”
