week one done

Well, this was my first week begun on the resolve of implementing my revamped routine. We did Hans’ list, including full circle times, every day but one (I needed to go to the grocery store Thursday and just wanted to get out the door ASAP and then back home again well before lunch so Jaeger could get his morning nap in). I got about half my weekly list checked off (ok, the white load that I dried on Tuesday is still in the dryer, but the first three loads are put away!) and my daily list more than half-way checked off every day…I didn’t get it fully checked off any day at all.

Hans is loving it. When he’s bored he comes and asks what is next on the list. I wonder when he’ll figure out that I make up off the top of my head what is on his list between 10 and 3. :) He is very happy with his job and with being paid. He hasn’t been doing so well on his Bible memory, although he’s still plowing through the catechism questions. Jaeger answers the first catechism (Who made you?) with the correct vowel sound: AHH! :)

I’m still battling the doldrums that three months of pregnancy-excused slothfullness created, but the morning routine — and the return of partially caffeinated coffee — is helping to turn the tide.
