My Big Guys
I finally weighed the boys the other day. Now when people ask how much they weigh I have a clue and don’t have to make something up. :) My guess was pretty close to correct, though.
Johannes Kristian is 38 pounds.
Jaeger Matthias is 37 pounds.
Now I just need to find out how tall they each are. Eyeballing their relative size, Hans is about 7 inches taller than Jaeger. Hans is at the tail-end of 4T, but 5′s are still a bit big (though that’s now what most of his clothes are, because I wasn’t going to buy winter clothes that fit him perfectly in October) and Jaeger is solidly in 3T although I have to roll the pant legs up. At this stage Hans wore a size smaller pants than shirts, but Jaeger is in 3T in both pants and shirts because smaller pants, though the right length, will not button around his tummy or even under his tummy.
Hans is acting like he’s going through another growth spurt, but if it’s anything like his others he’ll continue to add height without weight. I wonder how long it will take Jaeger to overtake Hans in weight. :)
I bought Hans new jeans for the season and although for him I really should have bought the slims, yet I want to get double-wear out of them and I don’t think Jaeger will be a slim, so I bought 5-regular. The jeans have the adjustable waist, so his jeans are cinched up as far as they’ll go and he still has to wear a belt, but the legs hardly stack at all on his shoes and when he doesn’t wear shoes I barely have to roll them up at all. Both of them are also wearing 5/6 size hats. I should measure their heads, but I believe Jaeger’s is a smidge bigger than Hans’.
