Normal

Monday  terribly early in the morning  Mystie

So now we’re normal people.

None of us have food allergies. I am not obligated to read ingredient labels or give the third degree to anyone who wants to serve Hans food.

Matt is on a daily maintenance prescription drug.

Hans is on three prescription medications for a simple eczema rash.

I’ve had more antibiotics this year than I have in my whole life combined, not to mention the fact that I have now had an epidural.

Now we just need to buy a minivan and …oh yeah, vaccinate the kids.

2 vociferations follow:

  1. 7 hours, 16 minutes after the fact, GaryP responded:

I know how hard that is for you! I remember taking you to the clinic because you had a terrible cough. Was that the only time we ever took you to the doctor?

They prescribed the codine cough syrup and an antibiotic.

We filled the perscription for the cough syrup but not the antibiotic because … well, because.

  2. * * * * *
7 hours, 35 minutes after the fact, Mystie responded:

Yes, I remember that visit very vividly. That was the first doctor appointment I had had in 9-10 years, since whenever mom stopped doing the routine visits at the doctor with the robot.

I remember it took hours to get in, he diagnosed a cough — no duh — and yes, gave the prescription. The codeine was nice, though.

I’ve been to urgent care twice for myself since then and every time it’s been nothing, but they prescribe an antibiotic anyway. Thus, I only go — dragging my feet and whining about it — when Matt absolutely makes me. :)
