“Mommy?” began Hans.
“Yes?”
“When I am older and get married will I get a ring?”
“Yes, you will.”
“Maybe in a few weeks?”
“Probably longer than that.”
“No, maybe in a few weeks.”
“Well, then you’d better find someone to marry pretty soon.”
“Hm.” -considerable pause- “Maybe Jaeger?”
“Well, there are two problems with that. First, you can’t marry someone you’re related to, someone in your own family. Second, boys only marry girls.”
“Hm.” -shorter pause- “Maybe I could marry you!”
“Sorry, I’m already married.” -I refrain from pointing out that I am disqualified by reason one, as well.
“Oh. Hm. Maybe is Nana married?”
“Yeah, Nana is already married.”
“Oh. Well, maybe when I am older I will find a girl who is not already married.”
“Yes, you probably will.”

Yes, I have had similar conversations with Judah - especially in regard to him wanting to marry Ezra. He seems to already have picked up my general emphasis on marriage as the time when one reaches true adulthood, so he’s been talking about when he gets married for a long time! :-)
Hans’ main concern seems to be the acquisition of a ring. He would like to wear a ring. :)
