Whew!
Wednesday
around evening time
Mystie
Today was the last American Heritage Girls meeting that I had to plan. From here on out there’s one leader’s meeting, one service project, and one ending ceremony.
Every Tuesday I go to bed thinking, “Oh, drat, I should have planned the AHG activity today.” Then Wednesday, about 8 or 9, I think, “Oh dear! What are we going to do today?!” …an hour or two before I leave the house. That’s the reason I will only teach the first through third grade class. They are pretty easy to impress and entertain. Our classes have generally involved library books (but only when I plan ahead), coloring sheets found on a mad-dash google search (sometimes even printed at my mom’s house at 2pm), easy crafts found on a mad-dash google search (the supplies purchased between playgroup and my mom’s), and group games (my leader’s manual has a selection — and first and second graders still love repetition and not variety!). The content of the books and coloring sheets and the theme of the craft and, about once a month, the actual project comes from the badge work we are working on.
Anyway, no more google searches at 8:30 on Wednesday mornings. Whew.
