We went in and weighed Ilse today and she is 10 pounds, 10 ounces.
So we might actually have an average-sized, average-growth-rate child, despite her head start. How appropriate that it be the girl. :)

What a head start! Gracie was only 10lb. 4oz a week ago- at 12 weeks!! I can’t imagine having a newborn that size! It must be nice to have them look so plump and pretty right off the bat- even if it means more to tote around. :)
Yes.. it is appropriate. One doesn’t really want to have “strapping girls,” necessarily! :-) My second little boy was 10 pounds one ounce at his two week appointment – up from a birth weight of 8 pounds 5 ounces! My first was below ten pounds at 2 months! It’s amazing how they’re all so different, even in terms of weight gain!
