Ack!
I just realized Ilse has no white dress shoes! And it is only three days until Easter, the day white dress shoes are absolutely mandatory! So forget about finding any deals….
I don’t think pale pink Keds would do…..
National Poetry Month, Day 9: Oh, yes! That’s a charming one!
National Poetry Month, Day 10: St. Crispin’s Day Speech

OH MY WORD! I am so glad you posted this. I have a big pile of dresses to iron for this weekend (we have events on both Saturday and Sunday), and I didn’t even THINK about shoes. I guess it is because most of us are usually barefoot. Seriously, I am in your debt.
Pink would totally work! better yet how about purple shoes!!! hehehe
I don’t want to buy two pairs of dress shoes and I prefer black most of the time. Can I make do with frilly lace socks? You’ll post pictures of your children’s get up, right?
lol, Brandy! Ironing….rats….I suppose I should….
Zoae, they’re not just pink shoes; they’re pink tennis shoes: not for Easter Sunday, sorry. :) Her casual summer shoes are purple, though.
Amanda, I always forget about pictures until it’s 5 minutes before departure. Thanks for the reminder. I’ll make sure the camera batteries are charged. :)
So, we went out and about this morning. Target only had $13 shoes, and I was hoping to hold out for an $8 deal. The best deal at Payless was $10, and I took it. But, on a whim, I had the lady measure Ilse’s feet, and she’s almost a 5, and I thought she was barely a 4. But, they didn’t have $10 white dress shoes in size 5, and the 4′s did fit fine, so I got them anyway, with the receipt that has other locations that have size 5 in stock. Then, I remembered on the way home that I have hand-me-down white shoes in size 5. So, we’ll try those on once she wakes up. :)
Dressing boys is so much easier: khakis and brown shoes year-round. :)
I have pink sandals you could borrow if you wanted to. Helena will be going barefoot this year, one positive aspect of not walking yet. :) I just checked my pictures and Nora did wear pink and white tennis shoes one Easter.
I meant to ask Allie on Wednesday if she had some I could borrow, but I forgot. :) Ilse is currently walking around in some 5 1/2′s from Allie, and they look like clown shoes on her. :) I don’t think she really is close to a 5. She still has a pair of 3′s that fit.
Her dress is a beautiful purple and white Gymboree dress that was a baby present. So, it really should have some pretty white shoes. :)
Crazy.
Yes, pictures! Monica went barefoot – she has such adorable little legs and feet. But then it was miserably rainy and cold, so I stuck tights on, with now shoes. Not my finest moment in terms of children’s dress. Alas.
