It’s Alarming, But True

Today is my third day without coffee.

But when a whole pot of French Press (they claim it serves 8, but I call it 3 servings) hardly perks you up, and when you have lost your water habit and can’t seem to get it back, then it’s time to call a hiatus. I suppose I could have waited a bit and given it up for Lent, but I don’t actually do Lent and I don’t plan on giving it up that long. I’m hoping one week coffee-free will do it. But my goal is to have one cup be sufficient.

And, this is not a totally caffeine-free week. I have had a cup of tea in the mornings, though yesterday I didn’t even get to finish it.

And, yes, my children are snapping more at one another, following the caffeine-headachy example of their unfortunate mother.

Beware the creeping habit! Lest this too be you!

One Response to It’s Alarming, But True

  1. Creeping habit, indeed! Oh, dear. I added cups of coffee with each additional child. So with my first, I was still at zero, but now I am at three.

And unfortunately, I am like you and my pot thinks it is “8″.
