Advent Fudge
Well, advent starts tomorrow, we’ll be putting up our Christmas tree, and I thought it would be most appropriate to welcome the season with a pan of fudge. A couple years ago Kirsti found a different recipe on the back of the Kraft marshmallow creme, not “fantasy fudge” but “creamy fudge.” Kraft no longer has it on their website, and it was difficult to turn up on the internet, so I am saving it here so I will have it and so you can have it.
The key difference: less sugar and more chocolate.
Kraft’s Creamy Fudge
1 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. butter 2/3 c. (5oz) evaporated milk 1 7-oz jar marshmallow creme 3 c. chocolate chips 1 t. vanilla 1 c. nuts, optional
Bring the sugar, butter, and milk to a rolling boil. Boil, stirring constantly, for 4 minutes. Remove from heat and dump in the chocolate chips, marshmallow creme, and vanilla. Beat until thoroughly combined. Spread into a foil-lined 9×13 pan. Let sit in a cool place (or fridge) to set.
Yum! Merry Christmas!
