Pregnancy Day? Inversion Day?

We can’t have a snow day….there’s no snow…
But this morning started off late because I was exhausted. I woke up with a seering headache. Then, before the day had barely started, I dealt calmly and consistently with a boy who seems to have lost his capacity for self-control when he gets an answer he doesn’t like. Then we finally all finished breakfast. And I’m ready to be done for the day. It’s 9:30 and my coffee is finally ready. My belly feels like a 100-pound weight, and I am especially short of breath this morning. On top of it all, it is once more overcast, dark, and cold.
So, I pulled out a stack of puzzles and a game
the boys received for Christmas and told the children this morning they could work on puzzles or draw (we have some step-by-step drawing books they love checked out from the library) while listening first to their memory work and geography songs playlists, then Wind in the Willows on audio.
Now I’m going to go sit, maybe try to read, drink my coffee, and hope I can get moving later on in the day.
There you have it. Real life at Wincklers.

Oh, how I hate waking up with a headache. Just starts the whole day off on a sour note. At least it sounds as though you were able to keep your kids comfortably and productively occupied. Here’s hoping that after a calm morning, you’ve regained some energy and ability to cope (and that your headache has disappeared)! Thank the Lord His mercies are new every morning.
We had a lazy day today. They are good for the soul, or at least I keep telling myself that. I hope you are feeling better!
Well, I spent 2 hours yesterday morning browsing Amazon and making various book lists for second grade. It felt good for the soul. :)
Today needs to be a little better. I have a sink full of dishes to wash!
When are you due? I am due with #5 Jan. 24… so funny. You probably live next door to me too!
I am due Feb. 15th. :)
How fun! It might be nice to have a play date sometime. We have only been in the Tri-Cities about a year and a half, we moved from the coast of CA, and are planting a church. I still don’t know many like-minded people here, and it would be nice to meet some. I have a 7 year old daughter, a 5 year old son, 2 year old twin girls, and this boy who will be here any day. We live over by the library in Kennewick. Well, let me know! Reading your blog has been so fun because of similar circumstances in our homeschooling adventure, and then to find out you live in the same place was so funny!
