Still Alive
Yes, I am in the middle of a series.
Yes, I am still here and have not forgotten.
Yes, I want to read but have not been.
Yes, I want a clean house and have actually been working on that.
Yes, I realize the picture on my sidebar is two years old and my fourth child is now almost the age of my third child in that picture.
Yes! My best friend from high school is coming for a visit and will be staying with me for a week! I have not seen her since she was my bridesmaid, nine years ago this past Wednesday. There is nothing like a house guest to motivate one to clean one’s bathrooms. However, I still did not get to finishing up the kitchen paint job.
So, posting shall resume in early August and I have a lot in store:
Finishing up the summary of our school times and materials.
Replacing the outdated photo and posting out-takes from the photo shoot my youngest sister did today.
Posting reviews of a couple books I have recently finished.
Starting a couple blog-through series on books I need to start and want to think through.
Share pictures of my newly painted living room and kitchen and of my new, nice, and organized bookshelves.
By that time, it will be time to share a recap of our first term of the year!
So, I will be back to blogging (perhaps even with a vengeance) in two weeks or so, but for now, I’m living.

I have kept a journal since I was 10. When I first started I would write every day. The older I got the farther apart the posts became. But I was thinking the other day that—since I usually write in my journal when I’m feeling moody, or meditative, or when things are particularly beautiful—it’s during those gaps that real life happens. I figured since you weren’t writing you must be living!
