It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

The time, that is, that I get to shop for books, and they show up on my doorstep. :)

Exodus packed the books so tightly and so well that when I saw the box I almost felt gypped when I thought of my total. But unpacking the heavy-laden box was satisfying. I was in no way gypped. I mean, shoot, I got two hardbacks for $2! And they are about history, so they count as “school books.” [grin]

I think I have that Foundations of Christian Education book. I know I have Created for Work, but we haven’t read any of it yet.

I just found out that a friend of mine bought Covenantal Catechism since I’ve been raving about it … your influence :)

I’m trying to see the hardbound books behind the history book …

I love pictures of books :)

The hardbacks that are hiding are a 2 volume “Outline of History” by H.G. Wells, which Exodus had clearanced at $2, and the other is Works of Dostoevsky, which was $3, and which I am adding to Matt’s birthday present so that it counts as a gift, not as a book bought. :) One of Matt’s favorite books is Crime and Punishment.

Exodus also had a used copy of Foundations of Christian Education, so I bought that, too. It’s been on my Amazon wishlist for awhile. There’s also a Schaeffer book under that that was clearanced for $2. :)

I couldn’t get the books back into the box, they were so tightly packed!

This post makes me happy too! :-) I believe Joseph Forster is the one packing the boxes and he grew up packing boxes for Doorposts.
