Large Family Logistics Giveaway
I have a real post almost finished, I promise.
The “4 Moms, 35 kids” blogging group are giving away 4 copies (1 on each blog of Large Family Logistics) as a warm-up to their blogging through the book in August. This post isn’t to get myself an extra entry, because I already own the book — this is to let you know in case you don’t! It is a very helpful, practical, straight-to-the-point home management book. Home Comforts might give you the ideal protocols of housekeeping (although without pressure to reach the ideal), Large Family Logistics helps you make a protocol that is actually feasible. Personally, I think the material is helpful regardless of your family size; it’s simply more and more essential to manage intentionally and proactively the more members are added to your household. So, even if you don’t have a “large” family (however that is defined), if you feel you need help staying out of chaos, help learning home-management-coping skills, this book will be of practical help. When the author kept her blog up several years ago, a friend of mine with two children commented that the blog was very helpful. You can read it and simply feel relief and gratitude that you don’t have to do 4 loads of laundry a day!
Assuming my school routines are in hand and I am keeping my own things managed well, I hope to join the discussions and maybe even the blogging-through of this book. I gave it a quick reading, and haven’t returned to flesh out and extract what was helpful. The Mid-Columbia Library purchased a copy of the book, too, so if you’re local you can check it out in that way, also.
Just as I gravitate toward reading dieting and food and exercise books while I am trying to lose weight, I like to keep in the housekeeping books when I’m trying to keep house. It helps increase my motivation and desire when I’m in the real-life moment of choosing what to eat or whether or not to wash the dishes. So, I expect I’ll be reading and note-taking from home management books my whole life, even though I don’t really need any more knowledge on the topic — just more actual doing!
So, all that to inform my lovely audience of the chance to go win a good, pretty, hardback book!
